Rick Davis’ Blog- Haiti Rewired

The Future of Work in Haiti
OK so maybe I am a bit optimistic. I am writing this report from the Oloffson hotspot where I just put in new wireless gear and the connection is quite improved.

I know there are and will be many jobs and professions in Haiti that have nothing to do with technology. The fact is that I hope in ten years we will see 100,000 technology jobs in Haiti. The most difficult is that first spot and that is done.

Pictured below are the first two staff. They agreed to having their photos posted. Oral exam time and they were nervous. No mistakes and they move from candidate to staff. We expect the first cadre to move to supervision positions as the operation expands.
