France To Rebuild Embassy In Haiti

French Minister of foreign affairs Alain Juppe announced on Friday they they will rebuild the Embassy of France in Haiti that was destroyed by the Haiti earthquake in January 2010.

The new embassy is supposed to be hurricane proof, earthquake resistant and bioclimatic, the minister says…

Alain Juppe says…

“The temptation was great to set the embassy on the hills above Port-au-Prince, but we made the choice to stay here to mark our commitment to the Franco-Haitian history and the will of the Haitian authorities to rebuild the old city ”
