Anti-corruption expert visited Haiti

Visit of Vincent E. Green, Anti-corruption expert and Director of Vendor Integrity and Investigations for the City University of New York to support the ULCC.

….”The most important thing to understand is that corruption has not appeared overnight and will not disappear automatically. This is an investment that requires time to bring results.  The partnership with a free press and the support of the population are necessary for its success.”  According to Mr. Green, transparency is the key in the fight against corruption.

For his part, the Director General of the ULCC, Mr. Antoine Atouriste, said:  “Thanks to the political determination of the government of the republic and the support of our partners including the United States, the ULCC is making great steps.” Mr. Atouriste also announced that the ULCC will continue to benefit from the expertise of Mr. Green in the implementation, and strengthening of its National Strategy for the Fight against Corruption.
